Frozen is outstanding. From the humor to the music, Frozen takes you on a thrilling journey for all ages. Much like many Disney movies it starts off making the characters heartrendingly vulnerable, which is the beginning for the audience to become attached to the sister duo, and for them to wonder where the tragedy will take them. Which brings you to hear splendid duets with Kristin Bell and Idina Menzel. The soundtrack belonging to this Picture has the power to make you laugh until your side hurts, and start singing the lyrics before you even lee the theater. This has to be one of the best Disney Princess films I he ever had the opportunity to watch. The Humor is delightful, the quotes from the film are so memorable you'll catch yourself quoting it in daily conversation. Frozen is defiantly on the path to becoming a Disney classic, and I had been counting down the days until I can own this captivating film. Frozen is a must see.

Elsa, princess of Arendelle, possesses Cryokinesis, the magical ability to create ice and snow. One night while playing, she accidentally knocks out her younger sister, Anna. The king and queen seek help from trolls, who heal Anna and remove her memories of her sister's magic. The royal couple isolates the children in their castle until Elsa learns to control her powers. Afraid of hurting her sister again, Elsa spends most of her time alone in her room, causing a rift between the girls as they grow up. When the girls are agers, their parents die at sea during a storm.

When Elsa comes of age, the kingdom prepares for her coronation. Among the guests is the Duke of Weselton, a tradesman seeking to exploit Arendelle for profit. Excited to be allowed out of the castle again, Anna explores the town and meets Prince Hans of the Southern Isles, and the two immediately develop a mutual attraction. Despite Elsa's fear, her coronation goes off without incident. During the reception, Hans proposes and Anna hastily accepts. However, Elsa refuses to grant her blessing and forbids their sudden marriage. The sisters argue, culminating in an emotional Elsa's abilities being exposed.

Panicking, Elsa flees the palace, inadvertently unleashing an eternal winter on the kingdom in the process. High in the nearby mountains, she casts off restraint, building herself a solitary ice palace, and unknowingly brings to life her and Anna's childhood snowman, Olaf. Meanwhile, Anna sets out in search of her sister, determined to return her to Arendelle, end the winter, and mend their relationship. While getting supplies, she meets mountain man Kristoff and his reindeer Sven. She convinces him to guide her up the North Mountain. The group then encounters Olaf, who leads them to Elsa's hideaway.

Anna and Elsa reunite, but Elsa still fears hurting her sister. When Anna persists in persuading her sister to return, Elsa becomes agitated and accidentally strikes Anna in the heart with her powers. Horrified, she creates a giant snow creature to run the friends away before she accidentally hurts anyone again. As they flee, Kristoff notices Anna's hair is turning white, and deduces something is very wrong. He seeks help from his adoptive family of trolls, who explain that Anna's heart has been frozen. Unless it's thawed by an "act of true love", she will become frozen solid forever. Believing that only Hans can se her, Kristoff races back with her to Arendelle.

Meanwhile, Hans, leading a search for Anna, reaches Elsa's palace. In the ensuing battle against the Duke's men, she is knocked unconscious and imprisoned back at the kingdom. There, Hans pleads with her to undo the winter, but Elsa confesses she doesn't know how. When Anna reunites with Hans and begs him to kiss her to break the curse, Hans refuses and reveals that his true intention in marrying her is to seize control of Arendelle's throne. Leing Anna to die, he charges Elsa with treason for her younger sister's arent death.

Elsa escapes and heads out into the blizzard on the fjord. Olaf finds Anna and reveals Kristoff is in love with her. The two then rush onto the fjord to find him. Hans confronts Elsa and tells her Anna is dead because of her. In Elsa's despair, the storm suddenly ceases, giving Kristoff and Anna the chance to reach each other. However, when Anna sees that Hans is about to kill Elsa, she throws herself between the two and subsequently freezes solid, blocking the blow, knocking Hans off his feet and rendering him unconscious when he hits his head on the icy surface.

As Elsa grieves for her sister, Anna's decision to sacrifice herself to se Elsa constitutes an "act of true love" and thaws her. Realizing love is the key to controlling her powers, Elsa is able to thaw the kingdom and even helps Olaf survive in summer. Hans is sent back to the Southern Isles to face punishment for his crimes against the royal family of Arendelle, and Elsa cuts off trade with Weselton. Anna and Kristoff share a kiss, and the two sisters reconcile, with Elsa promising never to shut the castle gates again.

(Outsourced)

If Ayesha Dharker and the Kamasutra are waiting for me on the other side, outsource me up, Spock

Newcomer writer/director John Jeffcoat is making a mini-splash with what could be the next big thing in “up the corporation” comedies. Even better, it is a romantic comedy with comely Ayesha Dharker providing the on-screen chemistry. Hamilton’s character Todd has graduated from college, probably like Hamilton’s previous character Grover in “Kicking and Screaming,” and has gritated into the kind of dead end job that made “Office Space” famous. As in the latter flick, outsourcing is rearing its ugly head in the form of shipping customer service jobs to (where else?) India.

As the film points out, everything that can be handled via phone or e-mail is being re-birthed on another continent and connected to the American pots of gold by satellite umbilicals. The workers Todd supervises will be the first to go and he will be next, that is, unless, he trels to India to train his replacement. So the plot goes, if he toes the line he will get his retirement and if he doesn’t he will live in a cardboard box.

This is only the first of more than a few sophomoric mistakes made by Mr. Jeffcoat and co-writer George Wing, but we are given notice in the first few shots of dreamy Seattle that we are expected to suspend disbelief here (after all, it isn’t raining?.).

Treling to India, Todd makes mistakes dumber than any of us ever made going anywhere overseas, even in high school. Of course, his boss is even dumber. But that’s not the point. The point is that even though his girlfriend has dumped him and is sleeping with another guy when he calls and his corporate structure treats him like an indentured servant he stills loves the USA. That is, until he meets Asha, played by seductive Dharker. Between Asha’s homework on the Kamasutra and a neighborhood full of Indians who look and act more like North Carolinians, Josh learns that maybe the best things in life aren’t stock options.

Josh is going to train Purohit (Asif Basra) to be the next supervisor of the order fulfilment (sic) department that will soon he its one and only call center in a small town about a hundred miles from Bombay. The very repeating of the department title of “order fulfillment” becomes funny after a while, at least for those in the audience with the patience to let it grow on them. But the new position, paying mountains of rupees a year, is the promise of a dream come true for Purohit. He needs it to marry the love of his life; a love as dear as the love Todd lost while he was abandoning his stateside life in for of a customer fulfillment career.

So Asha is not only the symbol of a different perspective, a kinder gentler capitalism, but she is the start of something great. Parents never fear, the film treads lightly when it wonders anywhere near the ual. In one of the most amazing shows of modesty on the contemporary screen, Asha actually has clothes on in bed with Todd. The fact that she behes more like a Hollywood starlet than a promised Indian bride will probably be glossed over by the erage American watching the film. She is at least as virtuous as the girl next door. At least the girl next door in New York. Or Seattle. The film misses a couple great angles, like the 50” flat screen of Todd’s dreams to which Purohit is completely hip, but which never materializes. That would he been a great twist to he come back over the wall as Todd hands out his daily alms. In the end, if everybody doesn’t get what they want, they get what they need. The final twist is good hearted and clean-cut fun; as touching as it is believable. What goes around comes around.

What becomes of a movie star when the career hits a hiccup and the lustre starts to fade? If the movie star is smart, they go back to basics, reconnecting with the fire of their formative years. What drove them back then? What first made them strive for greatness? "When I was a kid I always wanted to kill Hitler," Tom Cruise revealed recently. "I hated that guy and all he stood for."

Valkyrie, then, is not just the latest Tom Cruise action thriller. It is the fruition of a dream; a boyhood fantasy writ large; a Hollywood blockbuster that provides an opportunity that was denied him in life. Inevitably he bungles it.

Bryan Singer's picture casts Cruise as Claus von Stauffenberg, the Wehrmacht colonel who spearheaded the 20 July 1944 plot to se the fatherland. Wounded in battle and sporting a natty eye-patch, von Stauffenberg has grown sick of war. He wants to "show the world that not all Germans are like Hitler". He hates that guy and all he stands for.

The obvious sticking point here is that (spoiler!) von Stauffenberg did not actually kill Hitler. The plot failed and the conspirators were executed. Played as a tragedy, or a stark study of failed ambitions, this might not he been a problem. Except that Singer opts to frame Valkyrie as a high-concept wartime suspense thriller, inviting us to suspend our disbelief and go along for the ride.

The 1944 plot was at least fiendishly planned and generally well executed. Singer's, by contrast, seems flawed and foolhardy from the start.

But what of Singer's co-conspirator? Valkyrie paints von Stauffenberg as the archetypal "good German", a model of elegant disenchantment. And yet Cruise, for all his skills as a performer, does not do disenchantment. For all the anguished moments of dou, the constant stares into the mirror, his von Stauffenberg is essentially Top Gun with an eye-patch.

The film's curious melange of dialects only underscores this quality. Von Stauffenberg's cohorts are played by British actors (Bill Nighy, Terence Stamp, Kenneth Branagh) who deliver their lines in English accents. The villainous Nazi is portrayed by German actor Thomas Kretschmann who speaks English in a German accent. And then - standing separate and apart - is Cruise himself, intoning his lines in pureblood American. He might as well he been dropped in from an Allied plane; a gung-ho Hollywood hero sent in to clean up a very European mess. He couldn't manage it as a kid, and he can't quite do it now. Hitler one; Tom Cruise nil.

The young Carey Mulligan is sprightly and charming and does look a bit like Audrey Hepburn in this period drama about a bright, pretty 16-year-old suburban London schoolgirl who with a show of reserve gives in to the seduction, cultural and ual, of Did Goldman (Peter Sarsgaard), a thirty-something man of dubious intent and questionable livelihood. He's a smiling gangster, really, though the storytelling shows some skill in revealing the ugliness only in little gradual bits until bam! Comes the big shocker. Not that, by then, it's much of a surprise.

Did rescues Jenny (Ms. Mulligan) and her cello from a hey downpour -- already his sleek purple Bristol car is a strong hint of his sule mixture of poshness and sleaze -- and before she can say "I'm a virgin" he's taking her to classical concerts, auctions of Burne-Jones paintings, and jazz clubs with free-flowing champagne. With them are Did's cohort and "business partner" Danny (Dominic Cooper) and Danny's dumb blonde girlfriend Fanny (Rosamund Pike). Danny's sleeker and more handsome than Did and where he lives is packed with handsome artworks. We don't see where Did lives, and when we do, we find out why.

Helen, who's never read a book, let alone Camus, exists to set off Jenny's intelligence and would-be sophistication. Jenny listens to Juliette Greco's smoky chansons, gratuitously spouts French, quotes the French existentialist, and dreams of Paris -- anything to escape this dull country (which has not begun to swing yet, since its only 1961). She's not so good at Latin, but at her girl's school her literature teacher Miss Stubbs (Olivia Williams) reciates her and wants passionately for her to go to "read English" at Oxford, a phrase the film explains so insistently you'd think academic British were a completely foreign language too.

What's a bit hard to believe in this otherwise routine tale, based on a memoir by writer Lynn Barber and turned into an easy-to digest screenplay by Nick Hornby, is the way Jenny's parents go along with the idea of Did, this mysterious and oily older man, taking their college-prep daughter off to fancy watering places unchaperoned; he tells a string of lies to soften them up, some of them unbelievably crude, like his remark when first introduced to Jenny's mom, "You didn't tell me you had a sister." This compliance is justified by the fact that for her mother Marjorie (Cara Seymour) and timid but bumptuous dad Jack (Alfred Molina), marriage to a man with money, which Did evidently has, wherever it comes from, is as good as going to university, maybe better. In any case, Jenny doesn't keep any of what's going on a secret; in fact she boasts of it to her classmates, and the teachers know too. The only sign that all morals hen't been relaxed yet is the headmistress (a wasted Emma Thompson), who sees Jenny as disqualifying herself for Oxford, the school, or respectable life.

Carey Mulligan blooms before our eyes in this movie, and its worth watching for that. There's a squirmy pleasure in observing her scenes with Peter Sarsgaard, and Did is a good role for him. This is a character who is always acting so if Sarsgaard never seems natural that well fits the part. The whole trouble with 'An Education' is that everybody gets off too easy. Did, whose declared Jewishness almost seems like evil type-casting, is a thoroughly despicable person when we really get to know him: how come he just gets to slither away? Jenny never suffers any lasting ill effects of her misbehior even though everybody knows about it. Conflicting morals in early Sixties England are never a hardship for her or well dramatized in Hornby's simplistic plot. She's never confused, and it all turns out just fine. Good for her, but it lees one with a queasy feeling not only because of the reptilian behior of the boyfriend but because consequences are simply ignored, unlike in the much more hardscrabble film about a young girl's virginity actually made in 1961, Tony Richardson's fine 'A Taste of Honey' (written by Shelagh Delaney). How can Jenny be a e, if she has no real challenges to face? This doesn't feel like 1961 London, after all. It's just another modern take on a sassy young woman's premature liberation.

Sleepless in Seattle《

Sleepless in Seattle has been billed as a "romantic comedy", but the accent is more on romance than humor. Comic moments are kept to a minimum, and there are only a couple of openly funny scenes (one involves a comparison of "male" and "female" movies -- An Affair to Remember versus The Dirty Dozen). While lacking the unfettered charm and exuberance of Kenneth Branagh's Much Ado About Nothing, this film is nevertheless enjoyable on its own feather-light terms

The story of the making of The Nun's Story (1959) would, in itself, make a great book or documentary. It's extraordinary that this dramatic tale, tackling the very controversial subject of a nun leing the order, has been nearly forgotten - even more so when one considers the director (Fred Zinnemann), the star (Audrey Hepburn) and the phenomenal reviews and box-office receipts. By the end of its initial play dates, the picture had become the most successful movie Warner Brothers ever made, with grosses surpassing the $7 million mark!

The Nun's Story was to close on a Sunday night, and The Tingler was going to open on Monday. We got in a huge crew...to spend the day wiring the vibrators to the seats. But that night, just at the most tragic moment of The Nun's Story, somebody touched the mastertch and the seats began vibrating in we after we. There was absolute pandemonium

La La Land

La La Land is an amazing film. The cast is excellent. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling shine in their roles. They're an absolute joy to watch! The story is pretty good. The whole time I watched the film I thought the story was really good, but not as unique as I hoped it'd be, but then the end came. The end...I he never seen that amazing of a finale in a musical. It totally made the story unique. I even cried at the end. I wished Mia and Seb had ended up together, but oh well! This is one of the best musicals I he ever seen. It's up there with Singin' in the Rain, The Sound of Music, Grease, Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, etc. This is an absolutely amazing film. I seriously he no flaws with the film. I love how this feels like a film made in the 1950's or 1960's! It is awesome. The music is my forite part of the film actually. I think Gosling and Stone he great voices. They're no Julie Andrews, but they're great! The Audition (The Fools Who Dream) song was one of the most beautiful things I he ever seen in a film, and definitely my forite scene in a film this year. The whole entire epilogue is also wonderful. I loved how this film also had a wide range in emotion. I cried, laughed, and smiled! The movie is amazing. Everyone, go see this film!
